About Emilly the teacher
Emilly, a mother of two, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from AUT and has worked in the creative field ever since. While she enjoys all painting mediums, she chose acrylic for its vibrant colours and child-friendly, odor-free qualities making it ideal for young learners.
During her art studies, Emilly thrived in a workshop-style learning environment and discovered the value of observing real-life objects rather than simply copying images. She also found that interacting with other artists fostered creativity and growth.
Her goal is to create a relaxing & engaging space where children can explore painting and drawing after school, helping them build confidence and a lifelong love for art.
